Programs and Services Homosexuality: A Compilation of
Web-Linked Essays Compiled by David
J. McCaffrey
The outline that follows links each outline section to its respective essay from the OCRT web site. Taken collectively, this set of essays treats homosexuality as an example of a significant contemporary conflict between religion and science. Hence, these essays will present an overview, both from a traditionally religious perspective and from a scientific perspective, the nature and cause of homosexuality and of the nature of reparative therapies and transformational ministries. From both traditionally religious and scientific points of view, these essays also include a critique of the effectiveness of these therapies and ministries. Finally, statements from a number of professional organizations that represent human service practitioners in the mental health and counseling fields are presented about the nature of homosexuality and the efficacy of reparative therapies.
